Voice Battles Casi Joy Wins with ‘How Blue’ But Ashley Levin Gets Triple Steal

Ashley Levin battled Casi Joy on The Voice in a duet of “How Blue” by Reba McEntire. In the end, Blake Shelton chose Casi to stay on his team. All three other coaches stole Ashley but she ultimate picked to join Team Alicia Keys.

Luke Bryan said that they know what they are doing about singing. He said it is about seizing the opportunity on The Voice. In the practice, Blake said to turn down the growl as it can come across as aggressive. Bryan felt that they had perfection.

Alicia said Casi has a vibrant energy and that Ashley is a bit more reserved. Alicia said it is really tough and did not feel for Blake. Gwen Stefani felt Casi was more seasoned but felt that Ashley had a beautiful voice. Adam Levine did not wonder how they ended up in the same pairing. Adam felt Ashley might have taken it.

Grammy Award-winning artist Gwen Stefani returns as a coach this season, joining megastars Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton and host Carson Daly.

The show’s innovative format features five stages of competition: the first begins with the blind auditions, followed by the battle rounds, the knockouts, the live playoffs and, finally, the live performance shows.

Once the teams are set, the battle is on. Coaches dedicate themselves to developing their team of artists, giving them advice and sharing the secrets of their success, along with help from their celebrity advisors. During the battle rounds, the coaches pit two of their own team members against each other to sing the same song together in front of a studio audience. After the vocal battle, the coach must choose which of his/her singers will advance to the next round of competition, while the losing artist is available to be stolen by another coach. Each coach has two steals available during the battle rounds. The coaches are assisted by John Legend, Luke Bryan, DJ Khaled and Celine Dion.
