The next couple to hit the dance floor is Nick Viall and Peta Murgatroyd, dancing a cha cha to “Let Me Love You” by DJ Snake and Tiësto featuring Justin Bieber.
Julianne Hough tells him he needs to improve his footwork, while Bruno Tonioli says he looks like a “pop idol.” He adds that he liked the feel of the dance. Carrie Ann Inaba thinks he has potential but encourages him to relax to improve his dance moves. Len Goodman agrees with the disjointedness but says it was good for week one. They score a 24.
Tonight, “Dancing with the Stars” celebrates its 400th episode of glitz, glam and dancing. The dances featured on tonight’s two-hour-long premiere episode include the tango, cha cha, salsa, quickstep and Viennese waltz. Couples will have the chance to show America what they’re made of and put their best foot forward on the dance floor as they compete for the glittering Mirrorball trophy. The first couple will be eliminated next week.

How is Nick's personality on #DWTS so different from that on the bachelor? He seems a lot funnier.

According to ABC, Viall has taken many chances to find love over the years. Most recently, he appeared on season 21 of “The Bachelor” and proposed to Vanessa Grimaldi. “One of 11 siblings, Nick maintains close ties with his family. His parents, Chris and Mary, have been married for 37 years. Nothing would make them happier than to see Nick find what they have found in each other.”
